I use these handy timers all the … time … to help set expectations for ELL students during activities. I use the Candle version the most. Some of the others have cute animations, but they can actually distract students. That said, the Dynamite and C4 versions are great if you want a loud sound at the end of an activity to signal its conclusion. For example, they are great to help end mingle activities, which by design, are loud and somewhat chaotic.
